Tejano Heritage Month

Tejano Heritage Month was created to celebrate the Heritage and Legacy of Tejanos in Texas. The month is full of activities and events to help champion Tejano Heritage.

Awards & Markers

Awards and Markers are given to individuals, organizations and institutions for their work in championing Tejano heritage and legacy. Awards may be in the form of a stipend and/or plaque. Markers are presented for historical sites, homes, buildings and locations that represent historical circumstance.

Exhibits

Texas Tejano.com has created a collection of stunning and scholarly world-class traveling exhibits on the subject of Tejanos. These exhibits offer historical images of persons, maps, documents and original photos that tell the story of Tejanos during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. These exhibits are available for lease to schools, museums, universities and others.

Films

We have produced a historically correct documentary on the legendary Tejano Jose Policarpio “Polly” Rodriguez. The film depicts his life as a surveyor, scout, Texas Ranger, Judge, Rancher and Preacher. We believe this documentary portrays a truly great example of Tejanos who contributed to the development of Texas in its early history. The film is available on DVD and can be screened in schools and institutions.

Performances

Texas Tejano.com is very honored and pleased to offer a variety of performances and presentations. An exciting stage play, educational documentary screening, our signature "Tejano Breakfast", cultural performances and more

Publications

With education as our main focus, we've published educational materials, books and other collateral material about the true lives and legacies of Tejanos that adults and children can utilize.

Projects

Projects are an additional way through which communities and organizations can partner with Texas Tejano.com in championing Tejano heritage.
