Tejano Heritage Presentation at Wanke Elementary

Texas Tejano.com was at Wanke Elementary Schoool on October 11, 2012. We presented a brief history of Texas and then focused on Jose Policarpio “Polly” Rodriguez. About 120 4th graders were present. Following the presentation, questions were asked based on the presentation and students had the opportunity to answer the question and win a poster. All the students were energized by the presentation. Mr. Rudi Rodriguez presented, with assistance from Ms. Mary Vera Ramirez and Mr. Vincent Tavera. A big thanks goes to Ms. Alma DeLeon, the 4th grade teacher who helped arrange the presentation.
