Celebrating Tejano Heritage Month

Current |

As people celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, TexasTejano is focused on celebrating Tejano Heritage Month. Unlike years past which featured special events, presentations, and contests, the pandemic has made it unsafe to have a public celebration. But we remain focused on providing education on the heritage and legacy of the people who made the Lone Star State what it is today. As we continue working to tell the story of Tejanos, we've reached out to media outlets across the country, requesting they help tell the story of Tejanos in Texas and highlight their role in the development of the American Southwest. A few local papers so far have published or committed to publishing the article. Also, KSAT 12 News aired an interview with our president on September 22 at 6 am.
