Iza Settlement

Tejanos |

       IZA SETTLEMENT. Iza Settlement, an otherwise unidentified Indian settlement, was reported by El Turco to Francisco Vázquez de Coronado in 1541 as being seven or eight days' travel eastward from the Rio Grande in New Mexico. If not imaginary, it may have been a settlement of the Ais Indians.
