        DAYCAO RIVER. The Daycao River, mentioned as being ten days' travel beyond the most westerly point reached by the Moscoso expedition in 1542, was possibly the Trinity. The name Daycao was said also to have designated an Indian province, possibly the home of the Hasinais in the area of the Trinity.
